Today was a very hot day, but the perfect summer day to enjoy, so we did. The boys each stayed the night with a friend on Saturday night, so Sunday morning, Jade rode his bike home in time for church and Jordan was picked up on the way to church, but Jackson stayed at a friend's house further away, so he missed church. Jordan had to work at our neighborhood pool and Jackson needed to pack for his trip that he's taking with a buddy of his, so I invited London and Jade to go to the zoo for a picnic.
Of course that didn't sound too fun for Jayden so it ended up just being me and London. We packed a delicious lunch. Ciabatta bread sandwiches with avocado, spinach, turkey, cheese, olive oil, and salt and pepper. Strawberries and Adzuki Bean chips as our sides. On our way to the zoo, I wanted to show London my favorite hotel (Hotel Zaza) that is just near the zoo, so we went there to tour it. The Houston zoo has a new gorilla exhibition that we were excited to see. The day was muggy and hot therefore many of the animals weren't too keen on coming out to be seen! We rode the Merry-Go-Round and saw as many animals as we could.
On our way home we stopped for ice cream!!!! Then went home to swim, but the rain wouldn't let us. Overall we had a fun day just being together.
